Making $12000 in 30 Days
This was what I did when I launched out on my own.
I made $12000 in 30 days.
Nope, there is no shortcut.
If you’re looking for an easy way to make money, let me qualify it here.
This is quick but it’s not that easy.
You have to 10x your efforts to get it done.
Some people hesitate because 10x seems a lot of work.
Yes it is.
But think of the other side - the end result.
Is it better to 10x and get $12000 in 30 days or stay within your comfort “no burnout” zone and get nothing?
It’s your choice but I will teach you what I know and most importantly, what I did to achieve that result.
In recruitment, the essence boils down to two things - speed and accuracy.
By getting the most suitable candidate in the shortest time, you are assured of success.
Set a target for what you define as shortest time. For me, it’s 7 days. In other words, within 7 days, I send my client the first benchmark candidate.
Can you do it in 3 or 5 days? If so, that’s even better.
I did mine in 7 days.
It was a mid tier role and the level of search difficulty was moderate.
Utilizing every ounce of focus, I scanned LinkedIn and other social platforms for candidates.
Within 7 days, my first benchmark candidate was sent per my promise to the client.
(You can imagine the anxiety over that 7 days!)
The candidate was a good fit and by coaching her, I was able to turn her from great to “The Best” candidate.
It is all about perceived value.
Candidate was fell head over heels for the client. It was love at first sight for both ends.
The offer was signed without hesitation and the candidate commenced to work for the client after 1 month notice.
However, I was able to invoice upon her written acceptance of the offer which is a clause in my agency agreement to enhance my cashflow.
All in all, the placement fee came in within the same month of receiving the search mandate from the client.
All’s in a month’s work.
Easy money?
No, I don’t think it was easy. There is a lot of hard work and bashing through the LinkedIn jungle (figuratively speaking) to achieve the first benchmark candidate within 7 days.
Without this first step, the rest won’t even come into play.
Most recruiters struggle with finding the best candidate. If you can nail this part, you will be highly successful.
I will share in a future article what I consistently do to increase my success rate of finding the best candidate. Again, it’s not rocket science but few people do it.
p.s. If you do the same process for two concurrent roles, that’s $24000 in 30 days. It is easy when you know what you need to do, and what you can outsource. DM for my 1:1 coaching if you want to make this your reality.
