I Achieved $100K Billing In A Month

That was in 2016.

It was by far till that time, the highest record set.

Of course, I went out to celebrate with my team and after that, I put together a system that allows me to achieve that phenomenal result.

(If you don’t analyze your work, you will never know what went right or wrong)

First of all, there is no shortcut to explosive billing but with a proper system, you can experience this for yourself at least once or twice a year depending on your desire and health.

Here is my breakdown for the $100K Blueprint.

First, you need a pipeline of projects and they must amount more than $100K. This is just pure math because you won’t close every one of them.

Second, prioritize the projects that are urgent because your clients want them closed as much as you do. When 2 or 3 are aligned in direction, the power is immense.

Third, push as hard as you can on these urgent roles. The target is to have candidates interviewed within 7 days of receiving these hiring mandates.

The 7 day target is highly mysterious but it works every time. If you are able to deliver potential candidates within 7 days of receiving any given mandate, the chance for a successful offer is extremely high.

As the time drags on before your first candidate profile, you will find that the success rate dips accordingly.

There is a simple reason and if you have been on the internal side of any hiring company, you may guess it.

Let’s unpack it.

With the passage of time, companies went through this transition.

  1. Get another employee to stand in for the the work to be done while the search is being conducted. Not ideal but workable.

  2. Over time, that employee grudgingly adapt well to the added workload and is doing a good job.

  3. Company decides to put the hire on hold because they save costs and there is no longer any urgency until this other employee also decides to quit!!! (That’s another scenario)

  4. Even if the company wants to keep the hiring going, their sense of urgency is lost and they are more keen in assessing what kind of talents the market will throw up. At this stage, their hiring requirements would have changed but you may still be searching in the dark, based on the old job description.

  5. End result. Company didn’t think your candidates are suitable, they decide not to hire, and instead put the position on hold or simply cancel it. Sad but true. You have just wasted weeks working on an impossible mission.

The 7-Day hustle is one of the biggest secret to success in recruitment. It demonstrates effort because 7 days is not too long such that there would be a change in hiring requirement and the client is still hotly pursuing the desired candidate.

If you want to hit your sales, make sure to focus on only the urgent cases and go all in. I mean ALL IN.

It is very intense but it beats dragging that process over months only to know you have lost them.

That’s how $100K is made.

Think about it. Would you prefer to make $100K in a month and have the freedom of some months to invest in learning or other commitments?

Or do you prefer to drag your $100K over 12 months to only achieve half or less of that target?

This is by far, one of the things I often see recruiters fail to do. They hustle but at their own pace.

There is a part 2 to the 7 Day Hustle, which I would share in the next episode. As a teaser, it is about the optimum number of CVs you should send to achieve maximum success.

The more the merrier?

Less is more?

Let’s answer this in the next episode!

By doing these two right, you will have incredible success as a recruiter.
